Volume up to hear the first ever recording of the Hill's horseshoe bat (𝘙𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪) echolocation call. This recording was taken during our expedition to find the "lost" species which had only been seen twice, last in 1981. Because we were able to record the call, Nyungwe National Park rangers have been able to conduct audio surveys with Wildlife Acoustics, Inc. bat detectors in 23 locations over nine months, resulting in a quarter-million sound files.
