Elevate your box cake mix! My preferred method: -replace water with milk -add 1 extra egg than what the box says -replace oil with butter (same ratio) A lot of people that I鈥檝e seen recommend to replace the oil with butter will often say to double the quantity of the butter, such as adding 1 cup of butter rather than 1/2 a cup of oil. And even though this method is completely beneficial, it鈥檚 not what I prefer. One time I accidentally only added 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup of butter) and the cake

VEGETABLE OIL SUBSTITUTE EXPERIMENT! Swapping out vegetable oil for butter or coconut oil is a common question I get, but I LOVE it so much as it is! Test both substitutions with me and see how each turns out. Which do you think will be best? Have you tried either in my chocolate cake before? What recipe modification should I try next? This box cake mix hack by @theotherkaee tastes like a bakery made it from scratch. Turn a basic cake mix into a rich butter cake, top it with Hershey chocolate frosting, and watch it disappear in five minutes flat. A few simple swaps and it鈥檚 a completely different cake. Who鈥檚 trying this recipe this weekend? . #foodhack #foodreview #recipe
