Look at this majestic creature! Alligator gar have two rows of teeth on their upper jaw and can be up to 10 feet in length. They live mostly in slower moving rivers, reservoirs, and estuaries along the Gulf of Mexico, but they have also been found further out in saltwater. Alligator gar populations have substantially decreased over the past 50 years for several reasons - over-harvesting and reduced habitat to name a few.
