On 27 June 1993, the DTM hit Nürnberg’s tight Norisring street circuit for a double-header in the first season of the new FIA Class 1 era. The Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI was the car to beat that year—and the Norisring weekend became a showcase of that dominance. Nicola Larini swept both races in the Alfa Corse 155 V6 TI. Race 1 pole went to Kurt Thiim (Zakspeed Mercedes 190E), but Larini set the fastest lap and won.
