Michigan officials on both sides of the aisle are reacting to President Trump's announcement Saturday evening that the United States launched strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities​.

Democrats criticized Trump's military action without Congress approval while Republicans praise the "peace through strength" approach to neutralize Iran's nuclear program.

Trump and his team were in contact with top congressional Republicans before the strikes, but some top Democrats were not told of his plans until after the bombs had dropped.
