BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC) - The National Weather service has confirmed a total of six tornadoes that traveled through Alabama Tuesday night, and two of them were in central Alabama. According to NWS, an EF-1 struck Calhoun County and in Cleburne County with winds reaching up to 95 MPH.
Residents across Alabama have been warned to "take cover now" amid a tornado emergency - as weather forecasters fear for communities including Belle Mina and Hampton Cove
Following Tuesday’s storms, the NWS will be surveying storm damage across North Alabama. They plan to conduct surveys in Colbert, Jackson, Lawrence, Limestone, and Madison counties.
