We’re still over a month away from the premiere of season three, but Paramount has announced that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is getting a fifth season — and that it will be its last.

Strange New Worlds will be phased-out with a fifth season. Paramount+ announced the series has been renewed for a fifth season which will consist of six episodes. The season will also be the show's last.

The announcement, made even before the third season premieres, may have something to do with the uncertainty of Paramount's future.
