U.S. immigration agents have arrested more than 130 people across Charlotte, North Carolina during the first days of an enforcement blitz.
Customs and Border Protection officials took dozens of people into custody in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the past weekend under the Trump administration’s “Operation Charlotte’s Web.”
The demonstration comes as Customs and Border Protection has started an operation in North Carolina called “Charlotte’s Web” in the Queen City. The organizer of the event, Evan Branan, says the demonstration is to show that people are going to stand up against ICE like in Chicago and Los Angeles.
