Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy plans to cut the number of flights in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport for the "next several weeks," as New Jersey's largest airport struggles with radar outages and numerous flight delays and cancellations due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

Passengers traveling through Newark Airport are getting a break on Wednesday from the recent spate of delays and cancellations. According to the FAA airport status website, there are no widespread delays or cancellations at Newark Liberty International Airport,

The Philadelphia Terminal Radar Approach Control suffered a new problem that briefly led the FAA to issue a ground stop while it ensured redundancies were working as designed. The FAA said operations have returned to normal.
