Enzo Maresca has let rip at the crazy summer schedule that could see his Chelsea stars’s seasons extended by almost two months, warning: “No one cares about player welfare”. Chelsea play their final Premier League game away to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, but will not wrap up their campaign until mid-July should they go deep in the Club World Cup.

Maresca said he was not feeling any extra pressure ahead of a decisive three days during which his players will fight to seal their place in the top-five, before facing Betis in the Conference League final.
