Brazil's government says that a young Brazilian hiker who had plunged hundreds of meters from the ridge of a towering Indonesian volcano and was trapped there for almost four days has been found dead.

The 26-year-old Brazilian tourist left Brazil alone and had been backpacking throughout Southeast Asia since February. "I'm living slowly and without many plans. Jamming out and letting life happen," she captioned a post showing photos from her trip to the Philippines.
