BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 6 LSU rolled past West Virginia 16-9 and now the Tigers are just one win away from punching their ticket to the College World Series in Omaha. The 16 runs LSU scored is their third most in a game this season. Steven Milam and Josh Pearson each hit a grand slam to bust the game wide open.

The top-ranked LSU Tigers will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field to open the Baton Rouge Super Regional. Jay Johnson and the Tigers are two wins away from punching their ticket to the College World Series with a "championship-level" Mountaineers squad standing in LSU's way.
