There is a growing credibility gap between Boone and a mounting percentage of Yankees fans who’ve wearied of watching the Yankees play an awful lot of sloppy baseball the last month and a half.

The New York Yankees had a sloppy game once again in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, but manager Aaron Boone doesn't think it's a true reflection of his team.

After losing two of three in Toronto, the Yankees have Thursday off before playing the Phillies in a weekend series at Yankee Stadium.
