Keir Starmer said the UK and France would lead a “coalition of the willing” to provide security guarantees for Ukraine and work on a plan to end the war with Russia, after the breakdown in relations between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Trump suffered an embarrassment at the hands of the French president. Three days later, it happened again with the British prime minister.

Speaking to Laura Kuenssberg, the prime minister also says "nobody wants to see that" after the Oval Office row between the US and Ukrainian leaders.
