Hamas disclosed a list of 34 hostages it’s willing to return to Israel in the first phase of a potential ceasefire in Gaza, which the US wants to achieve before President Joe Biden leaves office in two weeks.

A ceasefire in Gaza began after a nearly three hour delay over Hamas’s list of hostage names on Jan. 19, putting a halt to more than 15 months of war.

Thousands of Palestinians burst into the streets across Gaza as a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas began on Sunday, some in celebration, others to visit the graves of relatives, while many rushed back to their homes.
