Ram is bringing the Hemi V8 back to the 1500 pickup lineup for the 2026 model year and the new trucks will be shipping to dealers this summer It is the same 395 hp, 410 lb-ft 5.7-liter Hemi eTorque mild hybrid that was last offered in 2024.

The Hemi V8 produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, and features cylinder deactivation capability to improve gas mileage. Ram promises a towing capacity of up to 11,470 pounds and a payload of up to 1,750 lbs.

Ram is putting the Hemi V8 engine back in its light-duty pickup trucks, part of a blitz of changes from brand head Tim Kuniskis to claw back lost share in the hyper-competitive US truck market.
