Democratic lawmakers in Texas once again thwarted the Republican redistricting effort in the state when the Texas House of Representatives failed to meet a quorum on Monday.

Texas Republicans will attempt to reconvene the state Legislature on Monday for a vote on redrawing congressional maps in their party’s favor, after many Democratic lawmakers left the state to deny Republicans the quorum they need.
