The first leg of the Special Olympics Connecticut Torch Run went from Chester to Ledyard on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

Police departments and other law enforcement agencies from around the state participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run.

While shoreline communities won’t see temperatures climb quite as high as inland areas, beach crowds were still anticipated.
