Lance McCullers Jr., recovering from a sprained right foot, threw a bullpen session and will do fielding drills next before possible return.

The Houston Astros have had some difficult injury luck when it comes to their starting pitching unit, thankfully they could be getting one back this weekend.

Starting pitcher Lance McCullers, who was scheduled to be on the mound on the road against the A’s, was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right foot sprain. Starter Ryan Gusto will take the hill instead and the team called up starting pitcher Jason Alexander from Triple-A Sugar Land.
