Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man mistakenly deported to El Salvador, is back in the United States after being indicted in Tennessee on two federal charges involving migrant smuggling, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday.

Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen shared his thoughts after learning Kilmar Abrego Garcia is returning to the U.S. to face federal charges.

The Maryland man, whose erroneous deportation to El Salvador became a protracted battle over due process and a test of wills, will face human smuggling charges in Tennessee.
