Remco Evenepoel wins the individual time trial on stage five of the Tour de France as Tadej Pogacar takes the yellow jersey from Mathieu van der Poel.

Italy's Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) fought off Belgian Wout van Aert to win stage eight of the Tour de France from Saint-Meen-le-Grand to Laval on Saturday, with defending champion Tadej Pogacar retaining the yellow jersey.

Three-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogacar played down the importance of taking over the yellow jersey after Belgian rider Remco Evenepoel stormed his way to an impressive victory in the fifth-stage time trial on Wednesday.
