Cincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin shared some thoughts on the contract standoff with first-round pick Shemar Stewart to start the week. Tobin quickly got a reply from Stewart’s agent, Zac Hiller.

The Bengals don’t appear to be willing to budge on their stance as they feel it’s completely justified. Stewart thinks he’s done nothing wrong and has publicly stated his desire to receive a contract that mirrors what the most recent first-round picks in Cincinnati have received.

Shemar Stewart's holdout from the Cincinnati Bengals ended Friday evening as the 17th overall pick agreed to his four-year, $18.9 million contract, all of which is fully guaranteed.
