Colorado coach Deion Sanders says recent backlash against decision to retire jersey numbers is because it involves his son Shedeur

It has been a strong year for Colorado as a whole academically, as it was reported back in January by Buffs Zone's Brian Howell that the entire athletic department posted its highest fall semester GPA in school history at 3.287. In addition to that, Sanders' team reached a new program-high GPA as well.
