Two Carnival Cruise Line passengers drowned Friday while swimming at the company's new Bahamas resort. Police said both were Americans.

Two U.S. tourists drowned at Carnival Cruise Line's new Bahamas resort last week, in separate incidents but both occurring on the same day, authorities said.

One of the victims was a passenger on the Mardi Gras ship, which departed from Port Canaveral, while the other was on the Carnival Elation, which sailed from Jacksonville.
