The Texans face a Jaguars team Sunday that is making steady progress under first-year coach Liam Cohen. The Jaguars' pass defense hasn't been a strength, however, as they are 27th in the league in passing yards allowed, 29th in touchdown passes allowed. They are second in the NFL with 11 interceptions through eight games.
In a game they need to win to keep in playoff contention, the Texans will be without their starting quarterback.
C.J. Stroud has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering a concussion in a Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos, head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters Wednesday.
If the Houston Texans are to get back in the win column this Sunday, they'll have to do it without their starting quarterback.
