The French Open women's singles semi-finals take centre stage at Roland Garros on Thursday, when world number one Aryna Sabalenka meets four-times champion Iga Swiatek in a match worthy of a title clash.

Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Świątek both won in straight sets to set up a semifinal clash between two of the top players in women's tennis.

The top-ranked woman in the French Open is heading to the semifinals. Aryna Sabalenka reached the final four at the event Tuesday after defeating Qinwen Zheng in straight sets. Zheng didn't go down without a fight, forcing a tiebreak in the first set.
