Deadpool & Wolverine's box office results become even more impressive for more than one reason when compared to Spider-Man: No Way Home's.

Despite its solid critical reception and ensemble cast, Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts, now retitled Thunderbolts: The New Avengers, is trailing behind Captain America: Brave New World in the domestic box office race.

For more context, Thunderbolts* topped the US box office with a $76 million opening in week one, which is way less than Deadpool & Wolverine ($211 million), but still more than Eternals ($71 million) and Ant-Man and The Wasp ($75 million) in the US.
