CHICAGO — It was quite a Sunday for the Robertson brothers. Especially in the second period. Jason Robertson scored three times to help the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 win at the New York Islanders. Nicholas Robertson had two goals in Toronto’s 5-2 win at the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Stars have found a lot of different ways to win over the past two months. Sunday was a totally new one.

The Stars winger has been even more impressive of late, tallying multiple points in three straight games with a hat trick, a goal and an assist, and then a goal and two assists on Friday night. He racked up four, five, and six shots on goal in those games as well.

The New York Islanders (25-24-7) lost their third straight game as the Dallas Stars (37-18-2) utilized a Casey Cizikas major penalty to storm past New York in the second period.

Logan Stankoven, Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz help fuel a strong start for Dallas, which hands the Kings their only regulation loss of February, 6-2.

Roope Hintz grew Dallas’ lead to two goals off a pass from Robertson just over a minute into the second period, but St. Louis cut the lead back to 4-3 when Nathan Walker batted in a loose puck after Jake Oettinger stopped a breakaway. Hintz had his second consecutive four-point game.
