After trailing 24 points in January, the Liberals now enjoy a 5-point lead over the Conservatives in the polls

Caution must be used when interpreting opinion polls during the election. They’re not all created equal. Dismissing them outright is as foolish as trusting them blindly.

The NBC News Stay Tuned Poll shows that Americans have negative views of both political parties, and 38% of adults say neither political party fights for people like them.

An average of polls with fieldwork completed during the seven days to April 20 puts Reform on 25 per cent, Labour on 23 per cent, the Tories on 21 per cent, the Liberal Democrats on 14 per cent and the Greens on 10 per cent.

Polls are set to open in the Isle of Man's local authority general election. Voters in five districts within the island's 21 local government areas are eligible to elect their representatives for the next four years.
