The National Park Service says debris from the demolition of the White House East Wing that was dumped at a nearby public golf course has tested positive for lead, chromium and other toxic metals.

A Washington, D.C., nonprofit filed an injunction in February, claiming the debris dumped on the golf course was hazardous.

President Donald Trump has insisted that his proposed White House ballroom will be paid for with private donations.
