In Pakistan, an unusually intense night of artillery exchanges left at least four civilians dead near the Line of Control that divides Kashmir.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement that he and Vice President JD Vance had engaged with senior officials from both countries, including their prime ministers, over 48 hours.
