After falling short in the Tarik Skubal sweepstakes, the Brewers pivoted ahead of Monday’s MLB Trade Deadline to acquire right-handed starter Dustin May and lefty reliever JoJo Romero from the Cardinals, then swung a second trade with the Rockies to land right-handed reliever Antonio Senzatela. Senzatela has a 3.36 FIP (fielding independent pitching) and has allowed just four homers. He signed a five-year, $50.5 million deal with the Rockies and has a club option for the 2027 season at $14 million. He has a 4.81 ERA pitching at Coors Field this year, whereas on the road he has a 2.57 ERA.
