It’s Kia EV Day, and all those who celebrate are excited, confused, and arguing. The brand held an event in Tarragona, Spain, last week to unveil a series of new electric vehicles, only one of which is certain to come to the U.S. Thankfully, it’s the most interesting one.

Kia has officially launched the EV4, its first electric sedan and hatchback, at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. The company first unveiled the EV4 as a concept at CES last year, along with several other models.

“Offering a fresh take on the saloon, the EV4 saloon features a sleek, low nose and long-tail silhouette. The EV4 hatchback is a nimble, versatile all-rounder. Distinctive and clean, it is built to excel in any situation.”

The super-compact EV2 concept has a lot going for it: city dimensions, coach doors, and high-tech seats. However, the EV2 is not headed to America, at least for now. The same goes for the modular PV5, which is part of Kia's PBV (platform beyond vehicle) platform. Kia boss Ho Sung Song offered some hints that this could change in the future.

At EV Day, Kia presents the EV4 as a hatchback and fastback, the small SUV EV2 as a study and the PV5 utility vehicle series as passenger car and cargo chassis.

An even smaller, lower-priced Kia EV is on the way. With the growing demand for more affordable EVs, Kia wants to be the one to offer them. Kia said we may even see it at its next EV Day. Here’s what we know about what will likely be called the Kia EV1 when it arrives.
