There's a lot of intrigue about how the Phoenix Mercury will look this WNBA season, as they lost arguably the two biggest legends in their franchise's history.

The Phoenix Mercury will be without guard/forward Kahleah Copper for four to six weeks to start the season. The team announced Saturday that Copper underwent an arthroscopic procedure on her left knee.

A new era in Phoenix is off to a bumpy start. The Mercury open the 2025 season Saturday night without Diana Taurasi or Brittney Griner for the first time in more than two decades, and they will now be without Kahleah Copper for the foreseeable future.
