Frisco police are investigating a stabbing at the Islamic Center of Frisco Saturday night. Officers were called to 11137 Frisco Street just before 11 p.m., where they found a man had been stabbed.

Frisco police confirmed a 26-year-old man attacked a security guard at an Islamic center. The guard, praying when attacked, suffered major lacerations.

The Islamic Center of Frisco stabbing involved a machete attack on a security guard. Police arrested 26-year-old Malik Davis. Investigation ongoing.

There were at least 15,000 Muslims from four Islamic centers (McKinney Masjid, Islamic Center of Aubrey, Islamic Center of Frisco and ICQC) in attendance.

Frisco police said its initial investigation found that Yaqoob was praying inside when Malik Davis approached him from behind and struck him multiple times with a machete.
