The Farmers’ Almanac, Old Farmer’s Almanac, National Weather Service, AccuWeather and Weather.com all expect a hotter-than-average summer across nearly the entire state.

For the month of April, the Farmers' Almanac calls for a mix of fair skies, unseasonably warm weather, cold rain, sleet, wet snow and breezy conditions. In other words, expect a normal April for Erie.

However, the Farmers’ Almanac outlook shows cooler temperatures sticking around as spring takes time to arrive in the Midwest, Great Lakes, New England and Northeast regions.
