Juan Soto surprised Brett Baty with a brand new car for swapping Mets jersey numbers
After the New York Mets signed Juan Soto to the largest contract in MLB history, he made another deal with 25-year-old infielder Brett Baty. Soto has worn No. 22 during the entirety of his MLB career with the Yankees, Padres, and Nationals. But that number was already taken by Baty, who has played for the Mets since 2022.
Juan Soto had it written into his record-breaking $765 million contract that he would wear No. 22 for the Mets.
