A Boston Red Sox trade idea has them acquiring Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins following the injury to Triston Casas.

BOSTON (AP) — Harrison Bader hit a go-ahead double off the Green Monster in the eighth inning, and the Minnesota Twins took the weekend series against the Boston Red Sox with a 5-4 victory on Sunday.

With Triston Casas now out for the season, perhaps the Red Sox could bring Vaughn Grissom back into the fold at first base.

Last year, to its detriment, Boston put together a patchwork platoon to replace Casas. This time around, the franchise needs to act fast.

Casas suffered the injury while running to first after hitting a slow roller up the first-base line in the second inning of Boston's 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Friday. He fell awkwardly and was carted off the field before he was eventually hospitalized.

The one thing the Red Sox know about their situation at first base is that Triston Casas won’t play for the rest of the season. Casas ruptured his left patellar tendon on Friday and underwent successful surgery on Sunday that will require an extensive rehab.
