Splitmedialabs has announced the release of a brand new update across both XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster entitled XSplit V2.

Now, XSplit, a streaming-software company, wants to make the process of beaming your games to the Internet even easier with its new Gamecaster product.

XSplit describes the updated version of the program as a marriage between the old Gamecaster and the traditional broadcaster. Overlays are a big necessity for live streamers and YouTubers.

This news also comes with the announcement that XSplit has teamed up with Devolver Digital in order to offer gamers both XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster on the Steam store.

Both the entry-level Gamecaster and power-user Broadcaster versions of Xsplit are available, and you can get them for free. You can also purchase an Xsplit Premium license for $10 per month.

The two primary widget additions come from XSplit and Razer, each offering widgets for Gamecaster and Cortex respectively.
