Head coach Brian Daboll and the New York Giants simply cannot seem to catch a break on the offensive side of the football during the 2025 NFL season, and rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is running out of weapons with more than half the regular season remaining.

Haunted by poor officiating and the season-ending injury to rookie running back Cam Skattebo, the Giants fall to 2-6 on the season and now have to consider the year over. They'll do what they can to develop rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart over the final nine games, but any lingering hopes of a resurgence and playoff appearance are dead.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has only played two games this season due to turf toe but has a chance to return this weekend when his team faces the New York Giants on the road. Purdy last played on Sept. 28, with Mac Jones taking over the starting QB duties while Purdy has been sidelined.
