WARSAW, Poland — A zoo in Poland says it's the first to have captured on video the birth of a rare Philippine mouse-deer, and everyone's hoping it’s a male so it can help the endangered species breed.

A zoo in Wroclaw, Poland has captured the birth of a tiny mouse deer on camera for the first time ever, in a hopeful moment for the highly endangered species originating from the Philippines.

Perhaps this birth could lead to many more. Poland’s Wroclaw Zoo reportedly filmed a rare Philippine mouse-deer being born and is hopeful the animal is male to help the endangered species to continue.
