Hamas officials have confirmed they handed over the body of another Israeli hostage on Monday as President Donald Trump's deadline nears.

"Hamas is going to have to start returning the bodies of the deceased hostages, including two Americans, quickly," US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday night. Hamas must do more to return the remains of hostages still in the Gaza Strip,

President Donald Trump recently issued a stern warning to Hamas, saying that the U.S. would “have no choice” but to intervene in Gaza if the militant group continues violent actions in areas vacated by Israeli forces under a U.

President Donald Trump gave Hamas a 48-hour ultimatum to return bodies of 13 deceased hostages or face consequences from countries involved in the Gaza peace deal.

Hamas allegedly did not return all of the hostages within the originally mandated timeframe, leading Trump on Wednesday to say he would authorize Israeli forces to return to the streets of Gaza if Hamas did not release all of the hostages, living and deceased.

President Trump said his focus now is on rebuilding Gaza, but has shared few specifics on his vision for security and governance of the enclave.

President Donald Trump on Thursday warned that if Hamas keeps killing people in Gaza, “we will have no choice but to go in and kill them,” marking a sharp escalation of his rhetoric against the group as he tries to maintain a ceasefire in its conflict with Israel.

U.S. President Donald Trump said allies in the Middle East are enthusiastic about the idea of fighting Hamas in Gaza if it does not uphold the ceasefire agreement with Israel that he brokered under his 20-point peace plan.

President Trump threatened to "eradicate" Hamas if it continues to violate a ceasefire the US helped broker between the militant group and Israel.
