Gregory Hines, the Tony Award-winning tap-dancing actor who starred on Broadway as well as in many films, including "The Cotton Club," has died at the age of 57.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Entertainer Gregory Hines, whose dazzling tap dancing prowess led to a broad career in films, on stage and TV, is dead of cancer, his publicist said Sunday.
