Elvis Presley isn’t often considered a gospel singer, but he delved into the genre many times. A reporter said one of his later songs reconnected the singer to his background in gospel music.

Victory Church, 2052 Oak Harbor Road, will host Walt Sanders and "The Gospel Side of Elvis" at 5 p.m. Dec. 7. The public is welcome and admission is free. A freewill offering will be accepted.
