Governor Andy Beshear and Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton held a news conference Wednesday to announce the Community Action Council would take over the management of the city's rental assistance program.

To help ameliorate the dependence on public transportation, Community Action started JumpStart, a financial advocacy program which helps low-income people purchase affordable, reliable vehicles.
