49ers reportedly expected to sign defensive end Clelin Ferrell to practice squad
The San Francisco 49ers reportedly are expected to sign defensive end Clelin Ferrell to their practice squad after he worked out for the team Tuesday.
One record he set came in 1995 when he collected 1,848 receiving yards. That mark has since been surpassed by three different players, and some feel it is only a matter of time before someone breaks the mythical 2,000-yard barrier, especially given how football has evolved since Rice's playing days.
While the 49ers add Keion White and Clelin Ferrell to their defensive line, coach Kyle Shanahan says there’s no plans to trade away wide receiver Jauan Jennings.
Arthur Jones, a defensive lineman who spent his first four NFL seasons in Baltimore and won a Super Bowl with the Ravens, has died. He was 39.
