Madonna is lamenting the loss of whom she called Billy Bubbles, with a tearful tribute. On Friday, August 7th, multiple media reports claimed that the critically acclaimed singer William Orbit has passed away at the age of 69.

William Orbit, the Grammy-winning producer who collaborated with Madonna on her hit Ray of Light album and worked with other such artists as Blur, No Doubt, U2 and Britney Spears, died July 23. He was 69.
