In November 1919, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed Nov. 11 as Armistice Day in the U.S. Congress recognized the day with a resolution passed June 4, 1926. The day continued as Armistice Day throughout the 1930s and into the 1940s, even as World War II broke out and some 16.5 million Americans served in the military.

All UPS pickup and delivery services are available today and all UPS Store locations are open. However, UPS Ground Saver and UPS Mail Innovations deliveries will require one additional business days’ time in transit due to the Federal (USPS) holiday.
