On February 27, the Sensex and Nifty 50 ended flat amid concerns over foreign capital outflow and trade war fears. While the Sensex gained 10 points, the Nifty 50 fell 3 points, marking its seventh consecutive loss.

The broader market struggled, with the BSE Midcap index down 1 percent and the BSE Smallcap index slipping 2 percent.

PL Capital said the hurdle rate for FII investments in India has risen to 10.5 per cent, assuming 4 per cent rupee depreciation, capital gains tax, and 4.5 per cent 10-year US treasury rate.

The key Indian equity indices are trading higher in afternoon trade on Thursday. The Nifty 50 is hovering around 22,550 while the BSE Sensex is trading around 74,600. Cement and auto stocks see big cuts while banks and financials see relative outperformance.

The S&P BSE Sensex gained 115.61 points to 74,717.73, while the NSE Nifty50 added37.30 points to 22,584.85 as of 9:20 AM.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a flat start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 22,585 level, a premium of nearly 3 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

The Indian stock market closed on a mixed note on Tuesday, with the Sensex registering a slight gain while the Nifty50 ended in the red.The BSE Sensex rose 147.71 points, closing at 74,602.12, whereas the NSE Nifty50 slipped 5.

On February 25, the Sensex rose by 0.20% to 74,602.12, breaking a five-day losing streak, while the Nifty 50 fell 0.03% to 22,547.55. Broader indices underperformed, and several stocks hit 52-week highs and lows amid mixed sectoral performances.
