The Green Bay Packers seem to have drawn the short straw as the NFL sought to ban the "tush push" perfected by the Philadelphia Eagles.

League sources say the NFL asked Green Bay to front the tush push ban effort as the Packers affirm Brandon McManus over Lucas Havrisik.

"Two of the biggest upsets of the NFL season were the Browns over the Packers in Week 3 and the Panthers over the Packers in Week 9. A tie against the Cowboys was nothing to be proud of either. The Packers are supposed to be good, but there has been way too much inconsistency."

The Packers' offense has not come under the same scrutiny as has the offense of the Eagles, but it has scored fewer points (208-206). The reason may well be due to their play on the other side of the ball. Green Bay's defense has been stingy. Parsons and co. have held opponents to just under 21 points per game.
